Season /// Week 1 (God IS Real Edition)

Honestly, what is better than the start of the football season? Great weather, great beer, the impending sense of dread hasn’t quite formed yet. I mean it’s a perfect time. Plus we have WTS Bets once again.
This is the best return since Ted Ginn Jr. (aka Teddles) ran back the opening kickoff of the 2007 BCS National Championship. Too bad the rest of the game got cancelled. We have a gargantuan season ahead of us! So many new variables, new players, and new obstacles! This season has a much different feel than the previous 2 because this is the first full season for 3 of our members, and we can finally see them at full strength. Plus, the rest of us are fully prepared to go next level. I am pumped to get started, and see how all of us have improved this season. Can we dethrone Jonathan? Can Chris survive on leaves? Can Kait actually conquer stairs? I think the answer to most of these questions is no, but hey we can hope.
The games in Week 1 are pretty trash but WHO CARES FOOTBALL IS BACK LET’S GET SOME. Western plays Monmouth (????). Ohio State plays FAU and the god of CFB Memes: Lane Kiffin. These owls are about to hoot their last hoot (sorry Kait). Michigan plays a team that LOVES upsetting schools from Michigan in Middle Tennessee State. MSU plays Tulsa, and will be a good game since they are the same caliber of programs. GVSU plays the Edinboro (PA) Fighting Scots on their way to ANOTHER D2 championship (Anchor tf Up). CMU plays Albany (??), and good god please win. Finally, Otterbein plays Ohio Wesleyan (Go Cardinals?). So much football y’all and I am AMPED! It’s also cool that our league now spans all 3 NCAA Divisions.
Yes this is a very long post for this website, but cut me some slack I’m excited (and have no life so). Get your Venmos ready because we’re about to drop dimes. The climb starts now!! So Kait please use a StairMaster or something c’mon. Let’s go!
TO THE BETS
A quick refresher on betting for everyone since it’s been a minute:
We have 10 total bets and one “special” bet (The BigHuge). You MUST place a dollar amount for each question except The BigHuge (looking at you Kevin). The first 6 bets are split in 2 sets of 3 between the Ohio State matchup of the week, and Michigan’s matchup. You may bet any amount of money at or below $0.40 for these bets. The final 4 bets incorporate the Top 25 matchups of the week. These bets have a cap of $0.10. Remember, the games or teams you can choose for these questions only need ONE Top 25 ranked team in the matchup to count. For example, #18 MSU plays Tulsa. The question is “Name a player to get 3+ tackles this week.” You can choose a player from EITHER team for your answer because there is at least one Top 25 team in this particular matchup. Any other questions, just let me know in the chat. (And Jonathan if you try to lawyer me one more goddamn time…).
