Week 6 (Haha I’m in Danger Edition)

Spooky Season ™️ is one of my underrated times of the year. The cider. The debates over pumpkin spiced drinks. Getting to go back into your closet for your favorite sweaters/sweatshirts. And the color of the leaves changing. All good stuff. But nothing better than the excuse to watch a scary movie. My favorite scary movie? Hereditary.

When Big Noon Kickoff begins Saturday, we will be in our second week of Spooky Season ™️. And let me tell you, I am spooked. Being at possibly my lowest point in football fandom (even my fantasy team is awful) I view Saturday as the halfway point through hell. How will I make it through the rest of the season? I won’t. But none of this is scarier than the other field related thing this fall: I might be excited to buy a lawnmower??

SHOWTIME

Congratulations if your team made it into the MLB playoffs! Otherwise: Better luck next year.

Enough rambling. Let’s preview some football:

Speaking of Big Noon Kickoff: We have Michigan (again) against Indiana. Fresh off their escape at Kinnick, Michigan looks to beat a middling Indiana team in Bloomington. Is this a trap game for Michigan looking ahead to Penn State next weekend? We know it is for this group chat.

Taking a detour to Kalamazoo: The first game for the Michigan MAC championship! Eastern vs Western. Considering the other team in this event is struggling, reigning champion Central Michigan, the winner will likely take home the trophy.

Penn State gets a bye week.

CMU hosts Ball State aka the fighting David Lettermens. CMU is favored so it’s time to bet on Ball State.

Look I don’t want to do this.

It’s not a coincidence that our commissioner asked me to preview this week.

If you want a preview of this year’s Ohio State vs Michigan State game, watch last year’s game. CJ Stroud might throw for 400+ yards - in the first half. Payton Thorne will have to be a thorn in Ryan Day’s side if they want to keep it close.

NFL x WTS Bets

Speaking of spooky season. I had a nightmare that a Matt Patricia coordinated offense had a huge game against a bad Lions defense. Good thing there’s no way that’s possible. Right? Right??

The Pittsburgh Steelers visit the Buffalo Bills. Having decided that Mitch Trubisky turned out to be more of a Liebisky, the Steelers looked to their future. Here’s to hoping Kenny Pickett’s last name doesn’t continue to be an invitation to opposing defenses. He threw 3 picks in 13 attempts last week.

The Cleveland Browns host the San- I mean the Los Angeles Chargers and Justin Herbert’s great hair. Who wins? Me thinks the team that scores the most.
