Big weekend ahead for the fiancée and I. We’re heading down to Indianapolis to visit Benj, Elizabeth, and the girls! This will be the first time down there since they moved, and I am excited to see their new place. Plus, I need to see how cool Indy is at this point because I haven’t been down there since like 2019. Time flies.
Do they have nice restaurants? Do they have interesting cocktail bars? Do they let you buy alcohol on sundays now?? Do they still let you hunt people poorer than you for sport?

In other news, our EA Dynasty finally had a matchup between 2 of us in the CFP championship game! Unfortunately, Nick is the Urban Meyer to my Jim Harbaugh. I cannot beat him to save my life. Maybe I need to start cheating too. But, congrats to Nick and CMU on their first championship!!

#2 THE Ohio State Buckeyes vs. Northwestern, Saturday BIG NOON on Fox
<sigh> Another Big Noon for the Big Nuts. It will be SIX straight games at noon to close out the season. Not even a night game against a Top 5 Indiana (holy shit what a sentence). But, this one is a little cooler, because we’re playing at Wrigley! Pretty neat twist for a game that will otherwise be a snoozer. Hopefully Fox highlights the park and does some cool stuff with the broadcast! Also, the field is setup in a slightly odd way, so there is no room past the endzones. Here’s to a fun, injury free game for the Bucks. By the way, are we allowed to Fly The W if we win here?
Michigan State vs. Illinois, Saturday 3:30 pm EST on FS1
If MSU wins this one (only 2.5 point underdogs!!) they will have the same record as Michigan. And Michigan fans have been telling MSU to get on their level for a while now. Well, you both might make a bowl game, and you might not. So I’d say goal achieved! Go Green! For this game, I don’t really have a read on either team at this point. Illinois could win, or Aidan Chiles could have another out-of-character great game. I’m leaning towards a Certified Chiles Classic (derogatory). If MSU needs a championship coach to help them though, Nick is in town.
Wake Forest vs. North Carolina, Saturday 8:00 pm EST on ACCN
First off, shout out Chris Paul, Muggsy Bogues, and Tim Duncan. Wake Forest legends. That aren’t any football legends so ¯_(ツ)_/¯. This could be an interesting matchup for the Tobacco Road rivalry. UNC needs this win to get bowl eligible, so a spoiler by the Demon Deacons would be true chaos. And with the way Mack Brown likes to coach for “must win” games, hey, anything’s possible.
#4 GVSU vs. Roosevelt, Saturday 2:00 pm EST
Grand Valley plays the newest member of the GLIAC (Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference), Roosevelt for their final regular season game! Yes, the school is just called Roosevelt. No, they were not started by the Roosevelt family. Just named after FDR after he died. They changed the entire school’s name because a president died. Imagine changing Lansing Community College to just Obama one day lol. Actually, they should do that. Go Lakers.

Jaguars vs. Lions
The Lions are a 2 touchdown favorite at home against the Jags. Two touchdowns. Two. We are the best team in the NFL, and we finally get some help on the D Line as Za’Darius Smith plays with the team this week! I am very excited for him. He’s not going to be a game wrecker, but with how Aaron Glenn has this defense playing, he’s gonna eat. Poor Trevor Lawrence has to try to throw passes past Brian Branch and J Kerb. What are we thinking gang, 2 or 3 Pick 6s in this one? Pass me that Copenhagen long cut, it’s time to get active!! GOOOOOO LIONS!!!!!
