Season 8 Final Results

Four years in a row. Now Benj knows how we felt in 2007. But I think we all know it’s much worse than that. To lose to the worst Michigan team since - what, 2008? - in this fashion is unforgivable. You can’t come back from this. The Ryan Day Era has to be over.

I’ve already overloaded the chat to a degree with this discussion, but we can tie a bow on everything here and move on.

Firstly, here are the things that were said of Day that ended being 100% true:

  • Started on 3rd Base and thought he hit a triple. Harbaugh is a nepo baby though. So, that’s still worse.

  • Is soft

  • Insecure

  • Doesn’t learn

  • Isn’t accountable

Here are the goals he self-imposed on the program for the past 4 seasons, and their results this year:

  • Win a B1G Title: Nope

  • Beat Michigan: LMFAO

  • Win a National Championship: Possible still I guess, but…c’mon.

“Ok, but Matthew it’s been 4 years, surely he accomplished one of those goals right?”

Well dear reader, I should let you know that he has gone 0-12 on those goals since 2021. And since 2020? 1-15. And that 1 is not the important 1.

Ryan Day has fostered a culture of bitching and moaning, excuse making, and entitlement that completely disregards the notion that it may be wise to have some accountability. He’s a baby. Blames other coaches, players, or literally anything else besides himself when things go poorly. He said that the wind was a factor as to why they didn’t throw the ball as much in the 2nd half this year. Yet, he was comfortable settling for field goals (that missed because he refused to address his kicker issue that people screamed about for 2 years)? Also, Michigan’s kicker looked like he had no issues with the wind. His kicks barely moved, and that’s not just because he has a strong leg. It’s because Day is a cowardly liar. His plan was TERRIBLE, but he can’t admit it even a little.

P.S. He put Will Howard back out there with a concussion so fuck him even further.

What would a real coach do? Well just look at Dan Campbell when Goff and team had a horrific performance, and he himself made a mental mistake against Tampa Bay. He got up in front of the world and took full responsibility through tears. He didn’t even coach very poorly, but he’s a real leader. That’s what real leaders do. They take accountability, and defend their own. And the Lions are PROFESSIONALS! Day’s players are college kids.

I hope Day gets another Power 4 job after this year and I can root against him. Because, outside of Dabo, he’s my most hated coach in college football.

I truly do not know what will happen if he comes back to OSU next year lol I may have to pull a 2011 and pick up comic books or gaming again instead. Or maybe this website will become fully NFL for a season.

Either way.

The Michigan Fans might not like it, but Buckeyes agree with them. Ryan Day sucks, is a fraud, has no spine, is a charmin soft baby boy, and does not deserve his job.

Final Note:

Ryan Day is worse than John Cooper. Cooper came along when Ohio State was in a full state of turmoil (mass roster exodus, poor season results, terrible recruiting). Cooper ended up getting some of the greatest players in program history (Orlando Pace, Eddie George, Joey Galloway, David Boston, etc.), while having to rebuild a program from the ground up. He lost to Michigan teams that were much better than his to start the 90’s. Michigan needed a Desmond Howard Heisman moment to beat a 8-4 OSU team. And the ‘96 debacle was to a team that was 1 year away from winning a national championship with Charles Woodson. Per SP+, the 1996 Michigan team would be 10 point favorites over this current Michigan team. Cooper didn’t get it done but he turned OSU around for the most part. He handed Tressel a B or B+ program, and then Tressel made it an A+. Day was given an A+ and turned it into a pants wetting operation. And the rivalry results make his tenure a F-, and I would go lower if I could.

Worse than Cooper. Now that’s a bad day.

THE RUNDOWN

We all saw what happened to our college teams over Thanksgiving. No need to rehash.

NFL

I was pretty lit off mimosas on Thanksgiving, so I don’t really remember the Lions game much, but they got it done! Even our bad games end well this year (outside of injuries jesus f christ). The Lions, Dan Campbell, Ben Johnson, and Aaron Glenn are my saviors. What a world. Another curse broken, and another happy Thanksgiving, finally. May the power of Blime compel you. Forward.

Bryce Young has taken CJ Stroud’s powers and is now the best QB from their draft class all of a sudden. Unfortunately, they got Baked, smh.

SEASON 8 RESULTS

Another memorable year in the books! Wasn’t as crazy as last year’s finish, but had the same result. At least there’s one constant in this hell world.

Results are in reverse order. So we start with last place, then move up. Let’s go boys.

In 8th Place, our newest league member. Our all talk no walk spaghetti boy. I am very happy to have him as a part of our league, and hope he feels the same. It’s:

Kenneth aka Big Pasta

In 7th Place. You know him, you love him. The Watch Watch Legend, and the most powerful suburban dad I know. It’s:

Kevin

In 6th Place. Your mentally unwell, extremely strong, incredibly handsome and creative Commissioner. It’s:

Matthew

In 5th Place. The tallest man in the league. The man with the most impressive degree. The man who is probably 60% zyn and bourbon at this point. It’s:

Ethan

In 4th Place. The happiest man on this website for sure, currently. The chef of your nightmares (if you’re scared of amazing food). The fastest talker this side of the Mississippi. It’s:

Benjamin

In 3rd Place. The Poster you wish you were. The heart of the chat, and the man with incredible cinematic taste. My friend since ‘98. It’s:

Nick

In 2nd Place! The brother with the chillest vibes. The only new Koval over 6’ (besides Ethan). The man with the league’s best hair. With his best finish ever!! It’s:

Christopher

And finally, in 1st Place. The end result of combining Captain America, Capitalism, and Nicotine. The man who runs the financial world. The SIX TIME Champ. Shoutout to our own Michael Jordan. It’s:

Jonathan

Once again, the reason why this league is so much fun, and continues to get better each year, is because of you guys. Thanks for another awesome season. This makes the football season so so fun, and I hope helps all of us find something special each year because of the league. I’m grateful I was able to get everyone merch again this year. I know the best is yet to come when I got y’all.

What a year.

But, we’re not done yet. I’ll see y’all in the postseason!
