Saturday is going to be a wonderful day. People will gather from across the state, and in some cases the nation, to witness two sides coming together. Some will cheer. Some will cry. Some will complain that things weren’t perfect. Even if things went well for them. I am lucky enough to be in attendance! I am of course referring to my cousin, Danielle, getting married.
A quick Google search of the venue, shows a wonderful decor and lots of space. No word on where the food is catered from. No idea if there will be an open bar. But hey! At least it’s a beautiful Saturday during late summer and I’m not missing a college football game. It’s going to be great. Let me double check what date Saturday is and -
Oh.
It’s a fall wedding. Let me check the ESPN app for the games this week.
Ah. There are inter-state rivalries across the board this week.

SHOWTIME
This intense weekend kicks off with Big Noon Kickoff in Happy Valley. Thanks to political pundits and coastal elites constantly referring to Ohio and Pennsylvania as the Midwest or the Rust Belt, I count this as an in-state rivalry.
The loud and proud, lead by CJ Stroud, Ohio State offense looks to make Penn State unhappy. James Franklin hopes to improve to 2-9 vs top-5 teams, as Penn State Head Coach.
WHOA. The heavily favored Michigan Wolverines host the Michigan State Spartans. At some point during this game I’ll be driving home with my hands in the 10-4 position. Since Michigan State has never won this game as a 23 point underdog and nothing unusual has ever happened when the lights go down at the Big House. We can go ahead and chalk Michigan as the winner.
Where are the Michigan directional games this weekend? Oh yeah it’s my 4th favorite time of the year. #MACtion baby! On a Wednesday night(!) Central plays at Northern Illinois and Western plays at Bowling Green. I am excited.
NFL x WTS Bets
Thanks to snowbirds, the Lions host in-state rival the Miami Dolphins. The LeBatard crew are going to be giddy after the Lions will make Tua look like the franchise quarterback that city has been longing for since Dan Marino.
Kenny Pickett and the Steelers head over to the City of Brotherly Love™️. It’s the second largest spread of the NFL games (let’s laugh at Aaron Rodgers) but, on the day before Halloween scary things can and often will happen.
On Halloween, the Cleveland Browns host in-state rival Cincinnati Bengals. We have a classic matchup of JB quarterbacks between Joe Burrow and Jacoby Brissett. Both teams need a win. I’ll need a beer after passing out candy and keeping Butler calm for two hours.
