What’s The Score Betting League was founded on the idea that, if you’re going to have fun and waste money, it might as well be as little as possible. With 4 founding members - Benjamin, Matthew, Christopher, and Jonathan - WTS Bets began in the fall of 2017 to bring a little more fun to the short period that is college football. Heading into the second season of the league, the founding members welcomed newcomers Chris Sullivan and Kevin Pohl to the league.
After a tremendously successful 2nd season, the league continued its growth by welcoming the first female bettor in league history, Kait McDougal. Kait entered behind a class that had outperformed league expectations, and raised the average height of the league to Chad Status. Unfortunately Kait did not add any height, but she did know how Athletic Departments operated, so she was no stranger to cheating.
Below you can get an insight into each member of the league, and their playing styles.
War Elephants
The Chariot
The Jet Fighter
The Atomic Bomb
Jonathan
As war evolves, so do the deadliest of weapons. Unleashed on the battlefield, the unlucky foe comes to the realization that god does favor, but he does not favor them.
When nuclear weapons were created, the world was forever changed. When Jonathan joined WTS Bets, the world was forever changed again. In both instances mankind looked on in both amazement and trepidation. What will the future hold? Are we safe? Who really holds the power? Well in the case of the league, the man who holds the Trombone Trophy holds the power.
That man is Jonathan.
We will see in which direction the man atop the mountain directs the winds this season.
If the league did options instead of bets, maybe we’d have a chance to see Jonny actually lose money.

You are looking at the most enigmatic player in the entire league. Christopher has shown multiple faces over the past few years: intelligent, sly, bumbling, powerful, unpredictable, and obviously, dashing. If there’s one thing about Christopher, he has some lore surrounding him.
Coming off a slightly disappointing performance in 2019, Christopher looks to avenge himself in 2020. Slightly behind the 8 Ball, but finally with his tournament prize from 2018, will Christopher hammer it home this year? As he grows his beard back, will his powers return? Can Christopher show that even if he may be the funniest player of the league, that he is still a force and should be taken seriously? Has the beer made his swing even better?
Well Thor…can you do it? Is this your Endgame moment? With the world collapsing around us, can you show the league that you are still worthy? I say yes. Swing away big fella.
You can’t keep a good Chris down. Just like his doppelgänger, this is his redemption arc. Time for some badass new armor, and a kickass beard.

“Deeds will not be less valiant because they are unpraised.”
Is a hero born or made? Are they the ones who are first to the call when someone is in danger? Or are they the ones who may not be first, but will always be there? When you look up, are they above you or are they alongside you in the fight? When you are someone’s hero, you inspire with action rather than theatrics. And who is a better hero than a dad? Always there for you, always doing the small things, and always complaining about one of their teams (take your pick with our pro teams smh).
Something rather commendable was lost to us in the commotion of last season. Benjamin shed dozens of pounds, and whipped his body and W-L Record into incredible shape. In Season 2, Benjamin finished 50-75-7 (Big Oof). YET, in Season 3 our guy finished 76-70-8 (Alpha status).
Can Benjamin continue his hero’s journey in Season 4? He finished 4th last year, so he is like this league’s Gimli. Memorable, but not the MJ (LeBron) of the group. Loves red meat and a cask of beer though.
Only iron sharpens iron, and his last name isn’t Blacksmith for nothing.
With the league pivoting to the NFL this year, Benj may see an even greater improvement as his cynicism for his own team could play as an advantage. The tweet master knows how to keep a good eye on his pro teams.

Throughout history the color yellow has held incredible significance in multiple cultures. Symbolizing glory in China, intelligence in Europe, and optimism in many others. Paired with black, a message of intense, consuming accomplishment shines through. And you wonder why Kait looks so good in yellow?
Last year was quite the year for Kait. She showed that even though she was the newest player, she was not Soft AF. Here is Kait’s past year:
Rookie of the Year
2nd Best W/L Record in the league
Iciest Graduation photos
Hired as Store Manager at 5th Ave Abercrombie & Fitch (thank you for the discounts)
Moved into her incredible Hudson Yards apartment
The rest of us need to catch up, because Kait is out here lapping us.
Kait is in incredible position to have another breakout year. Last season she showed how shrewd her choices were. A new format may be a challenge for Kait since her Steelers are somewhat erratic. However, she can take the heat (as long as it’s not the subway. Is it hot down there?)
It’s time to show the league how well she can adapt. Kait is not afraid of a challenge, unless it’s taking out the trash. That room does smell funny after all.

As any good distiller knows, the more rye used in the mash, the spicier the batch becomes. A reason why whiskey and bourbon have the classical nickname, “Fire Water.” Kevin understands the importance of bringing the fire as well. A graduate of CMU (hold your applause/boos), it is a way of life. Breathing fire into his family (shoutout Kaden), his career, and his liquor cabinet.
Kevin has yet to get that spark to light when it comes to WTS Bets, however. He has shown some life, but he needs more fuel. With the change in format this year, Kevin can readjust his strategy, just as the distiller adjusts his recipe. We’re throwing all of the rye in this year. We’re getting Daringly Spicy.
Kevin has improved season over season. So, there is hope that he will continue that upward trend. He finished below .500 last year, but had a nice win total of 69. Will he build off of last year? Is he finally bringing the heat? If he is, it’s nothing below 80 proof.
A rather adept Fantasy Football player, Kevin could have some serious momentum with WTS x NFL. If he can find the same success, we might see Kevin rollin’ with a new watch come Christmas time.

Long ago, there were myths among the Aztec and other Native American cultures of imposing, mysterious giants. They were from a time before modern man. Towering over the tribes with their staggering height. They seemed to never stop growing. Keeping to themselves in caves or dense jungle, they would appear only when needing supplies or in danger. The people would create incredible tales of their battles with these giants. Celebrated, almost revered, yet petrifying; these giant men retreated into the caves of North America and other continents to attempt to live a peaceful life. Most believed them to have gone extinct hundreds of years ago. That is, until a group of intrepid adventurers discovered a juvenile trying to assimilate with the people of Columbus.
Even with the assimilation, Chris is still the most physically imposing player in the league. He has a better vantage point of most things, so this has allowed him to see the bigger picture. Chris has put together 2 solid seasons. Although last year he faded in the second half of the season. Though, like his ancestors, he still measures up to the competition.
A good strategy for Chris would be to look at how his professional team does things, and the do the opposite. Yes, same with us but shut up. Good vision is key, and like his fellow giant Lebron, Chris can see the whole floor.

A wise philosopher once said, “You don’t need a license to drive a sandwich.” When it comes to life, we don’t need to have permission to pursue dreams or goals. Although when road bumps appear in front of us, we need to stay strong and shift ourselves into Maximum Overdrive.
Last season ended in heartbreak for me, as I lost the regular season title on the very last week. I was cheated of my rightful place on the throne. My crown was stolen, and I am on a mission to retrieve it. Will I reach my final goal this year? Will I have the control? Can I make it to Shell City?
As Commissioner of this incredible league, I take pride in all of our accomplishments. However, I am ready to forge a new path for myself. This year will be very strange moving forward (like it hasn’t already been crazy af?) Building an empire takes time. Brick by brick. Step by step. I am one year closer, and I am not slowing down.
I can’t be hurt anymore. I am numb at this point. All I need is Matthew Stafford and Jeff Okudah. The Lions are a sleeper pick this year, and so am I. Even though I have not been able to work out, I am still ready to hit new PRs this year.
